A story of 1st March

I was four, a blondish girl,
Caressed by the sun at every dawn,
Lost in between the childhood twirl
And fairy tales’ amazing lawn.

Those days were penning joy and laugh
Hugged by the summer sunny beams
Waltzing together on behalf
Of love’s perfume and golden dreams.

One day, while sunset turned its tune,
A tale brought bliss, unfolding charm,
As mum enlightened me that soon
The grace will bless her with a son.

I didn’t fully understand
How miracles were holy done,
How she would soon have in her hand
My little brother, ray of sun.

The angels brought the sweetest psalm,
On my deep thoughts, the roses thrived,
While mum, so delicate and calm
Took me through pages, new and wild.

And while the moon was sparking bright
At our window, wondering,
I turned to mum a question’s sight:
‘How shall we name your new offspring?

You know, as sun is greatly penned
In this amazing news we have,
The breath may take light to ascend
In new beginnings, fresh and brave.

I deeply wish my brother’s name
Would be the same as hero’s one,
The little boy who stands so firm
For my well-being, bringing calm.

He always shows the good conduct
At our kindergarten plays,
He never swears, being so kind,
And, mum, I truly like his ways.

Is there for me to help me out,
And more than often we share laugh,
Is my true friend on whom I count
When rainy days are getting rough.

Sorin he’s named. My dear mum,
So much I wish my brother too
Would be my friend, my childhood’s sun,
Sharing together the same blue.’

That night the narrative unfurled
So bright, and lovely, and my wish
Was kept in parenting safe world
Until the earth got its next spring.

My parents welcomed in their way
A sunny, healthy, handsome son
When March was sparking its first day
And miracles were greatly done.

Sorin he’s named, like hero’s one,
Bringing bright beams into my heart,
The shoulder I would cry when drums
Are beating fake on life’s tough art.

I’m Simona

One day, I tumbled from a tiny star called Dream and landed in a cup of Hope, just beyond the zone of hard work, where daily wishes meet reality.

I’ve always dreamed of visiting Antarctica, though I haven’t made it there yet! Until then, I journey through the intricate landscapes of the human body in my work at the hospital, tracking the unseen stories of cells.

When I step outside my comfort zone, you might find me on a train to Eastbourne, Matlock, or Canterbury, breathing in the fresh air and gathering inspiration. I return with pockets full of poetic ideas, though time rarely lets me write them all down.

London’s endless rainy days often set the stage for my impromptu singing performances on my way to work. I love dancing too, especially the waltz, though I’m a bit too shy to twirl in the rain.

I have a soft spot for pasta, coffee, chocolate, and a good laugh. Politics might elude me, but the human soul does not. And if there’s one thing I believe in, it’s this: Love is our strongest emotion, survival instinct, and essential need.
